Management Accountant
Based: Bury Area
Salary: up to £43k + study + benefits + progression & development opportunities
I am working with a progressive SME offering an excellent opportunity for a Management Accountant looking to work in an autonomous role offering strong exposure, training & a fantastic mentor with a view to become qualified over the next few years. This role sits as number 2 in finance under an experienced FD and has the opportunity to grow with the business over the next few years.
Role:
*Preparing management accounts ensuring correctly reported
*Monthly P&L analysis to identify trends, variances & areas for improvement and to guide strategic decisions
*Supporting budgeting & forecasting process with the FD
*Supporting transactional team mentoring 2 staff members helping them develop
*Interpreting & communicating financial data to non-finance stakeholders
*Supporting with internal & external audits
*Cash flow forecasting & cash management presenting to the FD & MD monthly
*VAT returns, dealing with any HMRC queries
*Developing & overseeing finance system identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies
*Providing financial support to the FD on a number of exciting projects
Experience:
*It is ESSENTIAL you are either AAT Qualified and keen to go onto your ACCA/CIMA OR you are already studying ACCA/CIMA and want to qualify in future
*Experience producing management accounts (or assisting with) is essential
*Able to work autonomously and have a solution focused mindse
*Good listening & learner and keen to progress your career
*Any experience with SAP desirable but not essential
