Job Description:
Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Learning * Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality English lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
* Teach GCSE English Language and Literature, ensuring strong outcomes for all learners.
* Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to support students with diverse learning needs.
* Monitor and track student progress, using data to inform practice and interventions.
* Provide meaningful feedback to students, promoting literacy skills and academic improvement.
Classroom Environment * Create a safe, positive, and stimulating classroom atmosphere.
* Implement effective behaviour management in line with school policies.
* Encourage high standards of effort, engagement, and achievement.
Person SpecificationEssential * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Degree in English or a closely related subject.
* Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for English literature and language.
* Ability to teach at KS3 and KS4 to a high standard.
* Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
* Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
