Job Description:
About the Company
Join a fast-growing and innovative technology business working on cutting-edge camera, imaging, and sensor systems for next-generation applications. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to the development of advanced camera and sensing technologies being deployed internationally, including new drone systems currently entering the market.
The company designs and manufactures its own electronic components, giving engineers a true end-to-end view of the product life-cycle. You’ll be part of an agile, forward-thinking team where your ideas and expertise can directly shape the direction of the technology.
The Role
As an Electronics Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing, testing, and integrating camera and sensor electronics. You’ll work closely with the technical lead to build and refine systems that push the boundaries of imaging technology.
This position offers variety, ownership, and technical challenge, combining both hands-on engineering and opportunities to influence design direction.
Key Responsibilities:
*
Design, build, and test digital and mixed-signal electronics for advanced camera and sensor systems
*
Develop and refine PCB designs and support system-level integration
*
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on electronics, signal processing, and FPGA-based systems
*
Support prototype builds, testing, and validation of complex electronic assemblies
*
Provide input into product design, manufacturability, and long-term system improvements
*
Participate in project meetings, contributing to innovation and continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For *
Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar
*
2+ years’ experience in electronics design, testing, or integration (3+ years ideal)
*
Experience with digital and mixed-signal circuit design and FPGA
*
Knowledge of signal processing and fast microcontrollers.
*
Experience with camera or imaging systems is desirable but not essential
*
Proficiency with PCB design tools (experience with Fusion beneficial)
*
Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently
*
Must have the right to work in the UK/Ireland - no visa sponsorship available
Why Join *
Work on cutting-edge technologies rarely seen in the UK market
*
Highly flexible and agile environment with a genuine focus on innovation
*
Opportunity to take ownership and shape the role as the team grows
*Exposure to varied and impactful projects within Defence and Technology
*Collaborative, supportive culture where your ideas make a real difference
*Flexible on work setup - hybrid or remote, though testing and integration must be done on-site (duration depends on candidate experience)
