Job Description:
I am working with Canterbury’s leading Law firm who are looking for a Legal Cashier.
The successful candidate will assist the Finance Manager and other members of the Accounts team with mainly client and some office work as required. In addition, you will support the Accounts team with compliance of the Solicitors Accounts Rules and maintaining high standards.
Previous knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules is essential. Knowledge of Peppermint and an ILFM qualification would be an advantage.
Key duties include:
*Processing banking and on occasion carrying out the daily bank run
*Issuing Cheques
*Billing
*Bank Reconciliations
*Taking client card payments
*Write offs and Bad debt relief
*Processing Conveyancing Completions
*Maintaining Central Register
*Processing Electronic payments
*Posting Office Credit accounts
*Processing petty cash
*Processing cost transfers
*Supporting Credit Control
*Assist with clearing down files for archiving
*Troubleshooting
*Housekeeping
The successful candidate must have an interest in working within solicitors/legal accounts whilst being able to demonstrate good people/communication skills, be able to work on their own or as part of a team as directed, and have the ability to multi task whilst working under pressure. Accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality is essential.
