Production Manager - Food Manufacturer - Cumbria - £50,000 - £55,000

About the company

Our client is a national food manufacturer with eight specialist sites across the UK, who is looking to add a Production Manager to their team. Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, in this hands-on role, to ensure that our people, production processes, and plant operate safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Production Manager - The Details
*Salary up to £55,000
*Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Production Manager - Responsibilities
*Oversee daily production to meet specification, quality, and output targets
*Lead, coach, and develop production and planning teams to achieve objectives
*Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality Standards
*Monitor and drive performance KPIs, including energy usage (KWH/t) and efficiency targets
*Work with the Engineering Team to minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability
*Manage inventory and stock control to reduce working capital and waste
*Promote a clean, safe, and efficient working environment
*Conduct audits, manage corrective actions, and ensure HSEQ compliance
*Support CAPEX planning and site improvement projects
Production Manager - Requirements
*Significant experience in mill manufacturing or related production process management
*Proven leadership and supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
*Strong organisational and multitasking skills
*Excellent communication and people management abilities
