Job Description:
Band 7 Social Worker
South Adults Social Care Team, Saffron House, Easton Street, High Wycombe, Bucks, HP11 1NH
Social Work professional qualification (Social Work degree or Masters or DipSW) 3yrs +
Registered with Social Work England
Significant experience of working within the Care Act including adult Safeguarding - undertaking S42 enquires/chairing meetings
Undertaking S9 + S10 assessments within the Care Act 2014 alongside reviewing existing care packages.
Experience of working with people with complex mental health needs in the community and hospital setting
Significant experience of MCA 2005 and Court of Protection applications/process
Understanding and application of strength-based model
Experience of working within the Mental Health Act including s117 Aftercare.
Evidence of excellent report writing skills
Current drivers licence and use of a car
It is essential that potential candidates can demonstrate the above knowledge to meet the needs of the clients and the service.
Desirable
Experience of mentoring/supervision of social care staff
knowledge of LAS/liquid logic data base
