Nurture Teacher – Special School
Location: Huddersfield, Kirklees
Type:Full-time long-term, term-time only
Working Hours: 08:30 am – 15:30 pm.
Salary: £150 - £205 per day DOE

About the Role
As a Special Needs Nurture Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and empowering students, helping them overcome challenges and achieve personal growth.
Key Responsibilities
Individualised Learning: Develop and implement personalised educational plans that address the unique needs and abilities of each student.
Engaging Lessons: Create and deliver dynamic, tailored lessons that inspire curiosity and accommodate diverse learning styles.
Classroom Environment: Establish a safe, supportive, and inclusive space that encourages emotional growth and academic progress.
Behavioural Support: Implement effective strategies to manage behavioural challenges, fostering positive interactions and social skills.
Collaboration: Partner with teaching assistants, therapists, and other specialists to provide comprehensive, cohesive support for students.
Parent Communication: Maintain open and empathetic communication with parents and guardians, offering regular updates on student progress and well-being.
Professional Development: Stay abreast of best practices in SEND education, incorporating innovative methods to meet student needs.
School Community Involvement: Actively participate in school activities, staff meetings, and events, contributing to a vibrant and caring community.

Strong knowledge of SEND strategies, including Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) and
behaviour management techniques.
