Carpentry Lecturer/Assessor*Job Type: Temporary (duration uncertain, covering sick leave)
*Location: South West London
*Salary: 35-45p/h
We are seeking a dedicated Carpentry Lecturer/Assessor to join our team on a temporary basis. This role involves teaching Level 1 and Level 2 courses, including Level 2 Apprenticeships, and conducting assessments and administrative duties. The position is to cover for sick leave, with the duration currently uncertain. We will provide updates as soon as more information is available.
Day-to-day of the role:*Teach carpentry courses at Level 1 and Level 2 to a diverse group of learners.
*Deliver training for Level 2 Apprenticeships, ensuring students gain the skills and knowledge required for the industry.
*Conduct classes on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
*Dedicate Wednesdays to assessing students’ work and handling administrative responsibilities.
*Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests.
Required Skills & Qualifications:*Proven experience as a Carpentry Lecturer or a similar teaching role in vocational education.
*Qualified to assess vocational qualifications in carpentry.
*Strong organisational and administrative skills.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to engage and inspire students from various backgrounds.
