Job Description:
Job Title: Head of Science Location: IG4 5LP, Outer London Salary: £36,745 – £56,959 + TLR 1C (£9,272) Start Date: September 2026
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a thriving Science department within a high-performing alternative provision setting. The role spans KS3–KS5, including GCSE, A-level, and BTEC pathways, with a focus on inclusive, high-quality teaching and curriculum leadership.

*Uphold safeguarding and wellbeing standards across the department
Requirements:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*Strong track record of teaching science in secondary education
*Proven leadership experience or readiness to step into a leadership role
*Reflective, resilient, and committed to continuous improvement
*Excellent communication and time management skills
*Passionate about student success and inclusive education
