We are seeking a reliable and professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join their distribution team. This is a key role ensuring customer orders are delivered accurately, safely, and on time — maintaining the highest standards of service and compliance.
Main Responsibilities*Safely and efficiently drive and operate vehicles in line with all legal and company requirements.
*Assist in loading and unloading delivery vehicles, ensuring all orders are correct, secure, and ready for transport.
*Report any vehicle defects, malfunctions, or incidents promptly and follow company reporting procedures.
*Maintain vehicle cleanliness both inside and out.
*Deliver products to customers on schedule while representing the company professionally at all times.
*Manage customer deliveries, payments (where required), and secure handling of keys, fobs, and security details.
*Accurately update and manage delivery information using handheld or electronic data capture systems.
*Collect empties and returns as required, ensuring correct storage and handling.
*Support colleagues by providing holiday and sickness cover when necessary.
Essential Skills & Experience*Full UK Driving Licence (Category C or above) and a valid Driver CPC Card.
*Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with customers and team members.
*Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all delivery processes.
*Effective time management, capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
*Flexibility for early starts and night shifts.
Desirable Skills*Previous experience in the dairy, food delivery, or similar logistics industry.
*Familiarity with electronic handheld delivery systems (training provided).
