Temporary Cover with Potential to Go PermanentAbout the Role Newstaff Employment Services are currently seeking reliable and proactive School Site Agents to provide temporary cover in schools across Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire. This position offers an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to secure a permanent role if your placement goes well.
As a Site Agent, you’ll ensure the school premises are safe, clean, secure, and well-maintained for staff, pupils, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities * Carry out general maintenance and minor repairs across the school site

* Open and close the premises daily, ensuring full site security

* Conduct regular health & safety, fire safety, and security checks

* Liaise with contractors and oversee on-site maintenance or repair work

* Maintain high cleaning standards and manage waste disposal

* Respond promptly to maintenance requests or emergencies

* Ensure all work complies with school policies and statutory regulations

Requirements * Previous experience as a Caretaker, Site Agent, or Facilities Assistant (school experience preferred)

* Practical knowledge of general maintenance, cleaning, and health & safety procedures

* Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with a proactive attitude

* Good communication and interpersonal skills

* Enhanced DBS and safeguarding checks will be required

* Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
