The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Crewe area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver (CAT C+E) to join the team.
Hours: Sunday to Thursday, 12:00pm start, finishing around 20:30pm
Pay Rate: £14.36 rising to £15.11 after 12 weeks

The role:
. Delivering palletised parcel to sub-depots and collection units when not shunting
. Driver will be required to unload and load the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck when doing collections and deliveries.
· Perform shunting of trailers within the yard to ensure efficient operations.
· Safely maneuver vehicles in tight and busy spaces.
· Conduct pre and post operation vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability.
· Adhere to all health and safety regulations and procedures.
· Coordinate with the yard and dispatch teams to maintain seamless workflow.
· Report any defects or issues promptly to the maintenance team.
· Maintain accurate records of shunting activities and vehicle movements.
· Assist with other yard duties as needed.
Requirements:
· Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).
. Experience required, especially reversing
· Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
· No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only)
· Full understanding of WTD legislation.
· Excellent communication skills.
· A safety-first mindset.
