The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Lutterworth area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C&E) to join the team.
Shifts:
*Weekend Day Drivers - Saturday and Sunday 04:00am - 06:00am
*Sunday 18:00pm onwards start time, 00:00am start time through the week
*Night Driver - Across Sunday to Friday (weekends included) - 01:00am starts typically
Pay Rate:
*Class 1 Days- £16.50 per hour PAYE
*Class 1 Nights- £18.42 per hour PAYE
Location: Lutterworth, LE17
Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.
The role:
· Safely handling and conveying palletised packages to sub depots.
· Emphasizing safe driving practices and ensuring precise documentation.
· Typically completing 1 to 2 runs during the day.
· Drivers will need to contribute to the loading and unloading of the vehicle, utilising a tail lift and pump truck.
· Engaging with customers while upholding a professional and polite image on behalf of the company.
Requirements:
· Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C&E).
· Have proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
· Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
· No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
· Full understanding of WTD legislation.
· Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
· Excellent communication skills.
· A safety-first mindset.
