Works Planner / Scheduler / Call Handler (Housing)
Hourly Rate: £13.26
Location: Reading RG2
Job Type: Temporary Contract until (subject to change)
Working Hours: 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday


Reading Borough Council are seeking an experienced and highly organised Works Planner / Scheduler / Call Handler to join their Housing team.
This office-based role is crucial for ensuring the smooth delivery to their repairs and maintenance service. You will provide vital administrative and customer service support to the wider housing repairs function, ensuring efficient and professional handling of repairs.


Day-to-day of the role:
*Schedule repairs and manage the information flow within the housing repairs team.
*Maintain accurate records to support effective service delivery.
*Liaise with tenants, contractors, and colleagues to coordinate repair works.
*Use Excel and housing management systems for data input, document management, and reporting.
*Ensure all communications and customer interactions are handled professionally.


Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Strong administrative and customer service experience within a housing or repairs environment.
*Good understanding of the repairs process, including emergency, urgent, and routine works.
*Excellent communication and customer service skills.
*Proficient IT skills, particularly in Excel and housing management systems.
*Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
