SEND Maths Teacher
Engage Education are currently seeking an experienced and passionate SEND Maths Teacher to join a specialist school for students aged 9–16 with autism and additional needs.
The school provides a safe, nurturing environment where every student can thrive, offering bespoke education tailored to individual needs. With small classes, on-site therapeutic support and a collaborative staff team, the school delivers a curriculum that blends academic achievement with personal growth — helping young people build confidence, independence and essential life skills.

The Role
*Plan, deliver and assess engaging KS3 and KS4 Maths lessons adapted for students with autism and a range of SEND.
*Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and therapists to support students’ academic and emotional development.
*Differentiate lessons to meet a range of learning abilities and communication needs.
*Use creative and practical approaches to help students develop numeracy,problem-solving and real-life maths skills.
*Contribute to a positive, safe and inclusive classroom culture that encourages curiosity and independence.

About You
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) – essential.
*Experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4, ideally within a SEND or specialist setting.
*Strong understanding of autism, communication differences and sensory needs.
*Patient, empathetic and adaptable, with excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
*Knowledge of PECS, Makaton or TEACCH – desirable.
