Part-Time SENCO (2 Days per Week – Flexible)

Contract: 12-Month Maternity Cover

Trust Education are recruiting for a Part-Time Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join a welcoming and supportive school in the S63 area. This role is 2 days per week, with flexible working days, starting January 2026 to cover maternity leave.
The Role:
*Lead and manage the school’s SEND provision.
*Support staff in delivering high-quality teaching for pupils with additional needs.
*Liaise with parents, external agencies, and the local authority.
*Ensure EHCP processes and statutory requirements are followed.
Requirements:
*Ideally hold the NASENCO qualification (or be working towards it).
*Strong understanding of Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council (BMBC) EHCP procedures.
*Proven experience in a SENCO or similar SEND leadership role.
*Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
