Job Description:
Join a fast-paced, expanding freight-forwarding business with a strong European presence. Financial Shared Services team is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant – Payables to support the exciting plans for expansion.
The Role
As an Accounts Assistant, you’ll:
*Process supplier invoices and manage invoice exceptions
*Reconcile supplier statements and monitor credit terms
*Produce payment runs and accurately allocate payments
*Liaise with stations, suppliers and operational teams to resolve queries
*Contribute to continuous improvement and uphold our core values
About You
*4+ years’ experience in an accounting team (freight forwarding experience preferred)
*Strong numerical skills (high GCSE/A-Level Math) and knowledge of foreign currencies
*Confident with Microsoft Office; Cargowise experience an advantage
*Full UK driver’s licence, own vehicle, and within commuting distance of Heathrow
*Excellent communication skills and a customer-service mindset
*Organised, proactive, and able to meet multiple deadlines
