Management Accountant - up to £45,000 + Study Support | Hybrid (Chorley)
Are you a confident Management Accountant looking for a role that offers real ownership, visibility, and variety?
We’re working with a well-established local organisation with a strong community focus based in Chorley who are looking to appoint a Management Accountant to take ownership of month end processes, acting as a senior member of the team within the chorley site.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a hands-on finance role within a collaborative team, where your input and analysis will genuinely influence decision-making.
The Role
Reporting into the Head of Finance, you’ll take the lead on day-to-day finance activity and act as the go-to person on-site for the transactional team. You’ll be responsible for:
*Producing accurate monthly management accounts and supporting reports
*Maintaining the ledger structure, cost centres, and nominal codes
*Supporting and guiding two transactional team members on-site
*Providing meaningful analysis and insight for senior management
*Working with large data sets to review and analyse sales performance
*Preparing month-end journals including prepayments, accruals, and deferred income
*Assisting with cash flow and financial forecasting
*Acting as a key system user for Sage Intact, identifying ways to improve reporting and processes
About You
We’re looking for a proactive, adaptable finance professional who enjoys getting stuck in and working independently.
You’ll ideally be:
*AAT qualified or studying CIMA/ACCA (study support provided)
*Experienced in management accounting (charity sector advantageous)
*Confident with Excel (lookups, pivots, etc.) and tech-savvy
*Organised, approachable, and comfortable supporting others in the team
*Experience with Sage Intact would be a bonus
The Offer
*Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (DOE)
*Study support package (CIMA/ACCA)
*Hybrid working

*36.25-hour week (core hours 10-4)
*Extra time off over Christmas and New Year
