We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk for a 3-month contract with a well-established organisation based in Birmingham City Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to contribute to a busy finance team while enjoying the flexibility of hybrid working.
Key Responsibilities:
*Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
*Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
*Preparing payment runs and ensuring timely payments
*Supporting month-end close activities related to accounts payable
*Liaising with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve queries
*Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company policies
Requirements:
*Previous experience in an accounts payable or finance assistant role
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
*Good working knowledge of Excel and finance systems
*Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
*Excellent communication skills
Contract Details:
*Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 (pro rata)
*Duration: 3 months
*Location: Birmingham City Centre (Hybrid - 2 days in office, 3 days remote)
*Start Date: Immediate
