Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Community Support Worker to provide support to a 19-year-old male with Autism. This role is ideal for someone with experience in physiotherapy and working with autistic clients, ideally within a hospital environment. The successful candidate will assist with physiotherapy in the mornings and teach life skills throughout the day.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Conduct morning physiotherapy sessions tailored to the client’s needs.
*Teach and assist the client in learning various life skills aimed at enhancing independence.
*Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to the client’s health and personal development.
*Monitor and report on the client’s progress in physiotherapy and life skills acquisition.
*Adapt activities and sessions based on the client’s daily needs and responses.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience as a Community Support Worker, particularly with autistic clients.
*Skills and experience in physiotherapy, preferably supported by relevant certification.
*Experience working in a hospital environment is highly advantageous.
*Excellent written and spoken English.
*Strong commitment to the healthcare profession and to the long-term well-being of clients.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
