Job Description:
Finance Team Leader (Maternity Cover)
Location: Luton
Contract: Fixed-Term 9-12 Months
We’re looking for an experienced Finance Team Leader to manage the day-to-day operations of a busy finance department during a maternity cover period. This is a hands-on role where you’ll lead a small team, ensure compliance, and keep everything running smoothly.
Responsibilities
*Oversee finance operations and meet all deadlines.
*Manage ledgers, bank accounts, and supplier payments.
*Prepare VAT returns, HMRC submissions, and Irish Revenue filings.
*Handle month-end, year-end, and audit processes.
*Maintain asset register and depreciation schedules.
*Manage staff expenses and company insurance renewals.
*Oversee fleet administration and compliance.
*Support with postings in SAP and resolve finance queries.
Skills and Experience
*Essential: AAT qualified (or equivalent), 3+ years in a similar role, strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP), attention to detail, and a full UK driving licence.
*Desirable: Experience with SAP.
