Finance Director
Location: Nottinghamshire

Working closely with an engaged Managing Director and shareholders with a strong financial background, you’ll take control of the core finance function, bringing pace, clarity and leadership where it’s most needed. The Opportunity
As Finance Director, you will take full ownership of the finance function and play a key role in strengthening and modernising financial management across the group. You will:
*Deliver accurate, timely management accounts, forecasts and margin analysis to the MD and shareholders.
*Restructure, manage and develop a five-person finance team, building capability and accountability.
*Manage cash flow, controls and compliance in line with shareholder expectations.
*Provide clear, commercial insight that supports operational and strategic decision-making.
*Focus on what truly matters, ensuring key financial deliverables are met and that finance drives business performance, not just reports on it.

About You
*Fully qualified CIMA, ACA or ACCA.
*Proven experience at Finance Director or senior leadership level within manufacturing or a closely related industrial environment.
*Track record of leading finance in an SME setting, ideally involving multi-entity or international operations.
*Confident in delivering timely management information and ensuring robust financial control.
*Experienced in team leadership, with the confidence to restructure and develop capability where needed.
*Hands-on, commercially sharp and focused on the big picture rather than getting lost in the detail.
