Senior Architectural Technician
Location: Kent
Salary: £37-47,000 (dependent on experience)
An established multi-discipline architectural and surveying practice is seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Technician to join its Kent team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality architectural and technical design for a range of projects, from residential through to commercial and industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead the preparation of technical drawings, BIM models and construction documentation from concept to completion.
*Coordinate and review design outputs to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, building regulations, structural and services information.
*Work closely with architects, surveyors, clients and external consultants to develop innovative and practical design solutions.
*Mentor and support junior technicians, setting standards for drawing quality and production efficiency.
*Assist in the preparation of tender packages, specifications and contract administration where required.
*Contribute to sustainable design practices and the adoption of digital workflows across the practice.
Candidate Profile
*Proven track record as a Senior Architectural Technician within an architectural practice or consultancy, preferably working across multiple sectors.
*A strong knowledge of UK building regulations, BIM standards and construction detailing.
*Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
*Excellent technical drawing and modelling skills, with a high eye for detail and accuracy.
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working collaboratively in a team and liaising directly with clients.
*Ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines across several live projects.
*Must live locally to Kent
