We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support learners with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) across Supported Internship Programmes and Level 2 courses. The role focuses on providing tailored academic and emotional support, helping students build confidence, independence, and essential skills to achieve their educational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
*Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with EHCPs.
*Assist tutors in delivering inclusive and differentiated lessons.
*Encourage personal development, confidence, and independence in learners.
*Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to staff and stakeholders.
*Uphold safeguarding standards and promote student well-being.
Person Specification:
*Experience supporting young people with SEND in education.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*Understanding of inclusive learning and safeguarding principles.
*Patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic about helping learners succeed.
Desirable:
*Experience in post-16 or vocational education.
*Knowledge of assistive technologies and supported internships.
*Relevant qualifications in SEND, education, or youth work.
