Our client, a specialist manufacturer of cutting and drilling equipment, is looking for a Purchasing Assistant to join their team. The Purchasing Assistant will play a key role in supporting business operations through effective procurement and supplier management.


The responsibilities of the Purchasing Assistant include but are not limited to:
*Process purchase orders and maintain accurate records in inventory and business systems.
*Liaise with suppliers to confirm order details, delivery dates, and resolve any discrepancies.
*Track shipments and update internal calendars and systems with expected delivery information.
*Maintain product databases, including creating new product codes and updating pricing and classification details.
*Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and warehouse teams to ensure cost-effective and timely shipments.


Skills, Experience & Key Candidate Attributes of the Purchasing Assistant:
*Previous experience in an administrative or purchasing support role.
*Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Comfortable working with spreadsheets, databases, and inventory management systems.
*A proactive and flexible approach to managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
