Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Halifax – £40,000 to £43,000
Elevation Recruitment Group is partnering with a manufacturing business in Halifax to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.
Key Benefits
*Salary: £40,000 to £43,000 per year
*Structured working hours with early finish on Fridays
*Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4:15pm and Friday 7:30am to 12:30pm
*Opportunity to work with a wide range of advanced machinery
The Business
This manufacturing business operates in a high-volume environment, specialising in precision fabrication, lasers, welding, robotics and powder coating.
The Role – Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
*Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on machinery including lasers, welding equipment, robots, and powder coating systems
*Minimise downtime by responding efficiently to machine breakdowns
*Undertake planned maintenance (PPM) in line with schedules
*Monitor plant conditions and report defects accurately
*Manage spare parts stock and liaise with Purchasing for required components
*Support project engineering and continuous improvement initiatives
*Record all maintenance activities in the company’s computerised system
*Comply with health, safety and environmental policies at all times
*Assist with other maintenance tasks as required
The Person – Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
*Level 3 or above in Mechanical Engineering
*Multi-skilled mechanical engineer with good electrical knowledge
*Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments
*Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement processes
*Computer literate (MS Office, CMMS, SQL, databases)
*Experience in fabrication, laser and welding beneficial
