About the Role
The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in the Rugby area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team across AM, PM, and Night Shifts.
This is a fantastic opportunity for both experienced drivers and new passes to join a professional, supportive, and fast-paced transport operation during the peak period.
Shift Patterns
*AM Shift: 06:00 – 14:00
*PM Shift: 14:00 – 22:00
*Night Shift (NS): 22:00 – 06:00
*Average shift length: 12 hours
*Operation runs Monday to Sunday – full-time and part-time shifts available.
Peak Pay Rates (23/11/2025 – 20/12/2025):
Peak Base Rate (PAYE):
*AM: Monday to Thursday - £17.50/ Friday £18.46 / Saturday £18.76 / Sunday £21.55
*PM: Monday to Thursday - £19.11 / Friday £19.50 / Saturday £21.35 / Sunday £22.24
*Nights: Monday to Thursday - £19.60/ Friday £20.31 / Saturday £21.55 / Sunday £22.63
Peak Base Rate (Holidays included:
*AM: Monday to Thursday - £19.37 / Friday £20.45 / Saturday £20.78 / Sunday £23.91
*PM: Monday to Thursday - £21.18 / Friday £21.61/ Saturday £23.69 / Sunday £24.68
*Nights: Monday to Thursday - £21.72 / Friday £22.52 / Saturday £23.91 / Sunday £25.12
(Rates apply for the peak period between 23rd November and 20th December 2025.)
Key Responsibilities
*Trunking between depots, ensuring timely and safe delivery of parcels.
*Collecting from well-known customers, including full trailer collections, drop and swap operations.
*Occasional handling of push roller cages as required.
*Precise reversing and manoeuvring in yards, including shunting duties when needed.
*Completing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
*Adhering to traffic laws, regulations, and company safety standards.
*Communicating effectively with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
*Full UK driving licence with Class 1 (C+E) entitlement.
*Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
*Maximum of 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
*Newly qualified drivers welcome.
*Successful completion of assessment (theory & practical).
*Understanding of WTD legislation.
*Excellent communication skills and a safety-first mindset.
