Job title: Real Estate Underwriter
Salary: Up to £65,000 plus bonus and benefits
Location: Manchester / Birmingham
PURPOSE OF ROLE
Lawes Consulting Group are recruiting for a Real Estate Underwriter to join an expanding team for a global leading firm.
RESPONSIBILITIES
*Underwrite Property and Liability risks for Real Estate clients
*Meet company standards in respect of policy documentation, contract certainty, peer review, audit, compliance, legal and regulatory requirements.
DAY-TO-DAY
*Underwrite new business and renewal accounts according to defined underwriting guidelines and strategies
*Proactively develop relationships with key brokers and clients to ensure profitable and sustainable growth, in conjunction with distribution and other key stakeholders.
*Contribute towards achieving the Real Estate financial plan
EXPERIENCE
*Good working knowledge of the insurance market, and experience of dealing with brokers and clients
*Property underwriting knowledge and experience is essential. Liability knowledge and experience is preferred but not essential
*Experience working with Real Estate clients and brokers is an advantage but not essential
SKILLS
*Desire to continue to develop technical and broader business skills
*Ability to maintain firm client relationships
*Key attention to detail
