Location: UK (with group-wide/global scope)

About the Role
We’re seeking a proactive and collaborative Senior Operations Risk Manager to join our clients Risk, Compliance & Data Privacy division. In this pivotal role, you’ll drive the continuous improvement of risk culture across the company, acting as a trusted risk manager to enhance risk and control understanding throughout the organisation.
Our client are looking for someone who is highly experienced in operational and enterprise risk with experience within the insurance sector.
You’ll play a key role in embedding and developing their risk management framework, supporting teams globally to ensure a strong and effective approach to operational risk management.
What You’ll Do
*Advise and review the risk and control process with the 1st lines team.
*Act as a proactive risk manager, upskilling the first line on risk and control principles.
*Facilitate a strong risk culture across the Group through training, engagement, and collaboration.
*Oversee the risk event management process, including root cause analysis and action definition.
*Work closely with risk owners across business units on a range of risk management topics.
*Provide advice and guidance on risk-related matters to employees and senior managers.
*Support the coordination of the Risk Champion Network.
*Assist the Group Director of Risk in preparing high-quality reports for senior stakeholders and governance committees.
About You
We’re looking for someone who combines technical expertise in risk management with strong communication and influencing skills.
You’ll bring:
*A solid understanding of operational and enterprise risk principles.
*Proven experience in developing and delivering risk frameworks within a regulated environment.
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
*Excellent stakeholder management abilities, including at senior levels.
*A collaborative approach and passion for building a positive risk culture.
