Job Description:
Job Title: Shipping/Warehouse Assistant (Temp to Perm)
Hourly Rate: £14 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 3:30pm
Note: Once fully trained, hours may shift to 8:30am – 5:00pm to support later order preparation, subject to future transport arrangements.
Department: International Operations / Fulfilment
Reporting To: International Operations Manager
Responsibility Level: Assistant
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse & Fulfilment Duties
*Pick, pack, and prepare ancillary orders for customer delivery
*Ensure accurate labelling to minimise dispatch errors
*Communicate clearly and promptly with the main warehouse to source materials
*Maintain high housekeeping standards and follow safe working practices, including wearing PPE
*Respond to queries or escalate them in a timely manner
*Focus on meeting customer expectations for on-time deliveries
General Duties
*Support departmental KPIs and contribute to team goals
*Carry out additional tasks as directed by management
Skills & Experience Required
Knowledge & Experience
*Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
*Familiarity with warehouse processes and stock management
*Experience using ERP systems is desirable
Professional Attributes
*Friendly and polite with strong communication skills
*Adaptable and resilient under pressure
*A reliable team player with a proactive attitude
