Job Description:
Procurement Manager
Location: Birmingham (2 days per week onsite)
Salary: £65k per annum
Duration: Temporary (2-year FTC)
One of our leading public sector clients is seeking a skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to join their team on a 2-year fixed-term contract. This role offers an excellent opportunity to manage end-to-end procurement activities, ensuring compliance with public sector regulations and driving cost efficiency.
Procurement Manager Key Responsibilities:
*Implement procurement best practices and deliver high-quality procurement services
*Manage end-to-end procurements via Framework Agreements and Find A Tender (where applicable)
*Oversee a range of procurement and contract-related activities, including change control and termination notices
*Identify and deliver cost savings and process efficiencies
*Liaise with internal stakeholders to manage procurement requirements
*Work with external suppliers to gather quotations, proposals, and other relevant information
*Maintain and update the Contracts Database and manage MI reporting
*Coordinate and manage the tender process, including document preparation, evaluation criteria, and outcome communication
*Support the Head of Procurement & Contracts in strategic procurement objectives
*Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations, including PCR15 and PA23
Skills & Knowledge:
*Strong experience in end-to-end procurement, contract management, and supplier relations
*Knowledge of public sector procurement and regulatory frameworks (PCR15, PA23)
*Advanced IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
*Analytical skills, including spend analysis and contract data reporting
*Strong stakeholder management and customer service ethos
*MCIPS qualification (preferred)
