Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential?
Randstad Education is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm and welcoming primary school where every child is encouraged to thrive.
The Role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with the class teacher and the school’s SENCO to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of special educational needs. You’ll help to create a positive, nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to succeed.
Key Responsibilities: * Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with additional needs
* Support learning in line with individual education plans (IEPs)
* Assist the class teacher with planning and adapting activities
* Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
* Build trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
What We’re Looking For: * Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly in a school setting
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning
* An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
