Management Accountant
Location: Edinburgh

We’re seeking a Management Accountant to join a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation, playing a key role in delivering accurate and timely management accounts, driving financial control, and providing insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making.
This is a pivotal position where you’ll help standardise financial practices, improve processes, and enhance transparency across the business.
What you’ll be doing
*Management Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and supporting schedules.
*Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts, delivering variance analysis and commentary.
*Revenue & Cost Analysis: Ensure accurate revenue recognition and monitor key cost drivers.
*Expense Management: Analyse expenditure, identifying risks and efficiency opportunities.
*Accounts Receivable: Lead AR reviews and debt collection processes.
*Audit & Compliance: Support internal/external audits and ensure SOX compliance.
*Cross-Functional Support: Act as a trusted partner to business teams and group finance.
*Continuous Improvement: Drive enhancements in finance processes, systems, and controls.
What we’re looking for
*ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with 2+ years post-qualification experience.
*Proven experience as a Management Accountant or Financial Analyst.
*Strong skills in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
*Advanced Excel and experience with financial systems
*Excellent understanding of management accounting principles and variance analysis.
*Ability to collaborate across finance and non-finance teams.
*Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
