Job Description:
About the Company:
A pioneering technology business focused on the sustainable, large-scale production of advanced materials and clean energy solutions. The company’s patented process transforms plastics and solvents—including hard-to-recycle waste—into high-performance materials and hydrogen, driving innovation in energy efficiency, advanced manufacturing, and the circular economy.
They are rapidly scaling operations and developing next-generation conductive wires, composites, and building materials that outperform traditional metals and support decarbonized infrastructure. The organisation values practical problem-solving, bold innovation, and a multidisciplinary team spirit.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an organised, proactive, and mission-driven Chief of Staff to work closely with the CEO/Founder. This critical role combines executive support, strategic planning, and operations leadership. You will ensure the smooth running of executive and administrative functions, enabling the business to scale effectively and maximise its impact.
Key Responsibilities:
*Executive Support: Manage the CEO’s diary, inbox, and daily priorities. Organise meetings, prepare agendas, and manage follow-ups.
*Travel Management: Coordinate complex domestic and international travel itineraries and logistics.
*Administrative Operations: Oversee and improve office administration, including HR coordination, office maintenance, and procurement.
*Finance & Accounting: Liaise with accountants and finance providers. Manage invoices, payments, and expenses, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
*HR Coordination: Support recruitment, onboarding, payroll/holiday tracking, and employee queries while maintaining confidentiality and compliance.
*Board, Investor & Stakeholder Relations: Coordinate meetings, prepare updates, and act as a key point of contact for stakeholders.
*Project Management: Track progress on key deliverables, follow up with responsible parties, and remove bottlenecks.
*Confidentiality: Handle sensitive information with the utmost integrity and professionalism.
Ideal Candidate:
You will have proven experience as a Chief of Staff, Executive Assistant, Operations Manager, or in a senior administrative role—ideally in a startup, scale-up, or technical environment. You’ll be highly organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Strong interpersonal skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and project management tools. Experience with accounting, HR administration, or office management is highly desirable.
What’s on Offer:
*Competitive compensation package based on experience
*Participation in an employee ownership scheme
*Opportunity to make a tangible impact in a fast-growth, innovative company
*25 days holiday plus bank holidays
*Pension scheme
*Close collaboration with an expert founding team in a dynamic and supportive environment
