Cover Supervisor (Welsh Language)

We are seeking a committed Cover Supervisor to oversee Welsh language classes at a secondary school with an excellent reputation in Wrexham. This long-term role is perfect for someone who is fluent in Welsh and has a strong interest in supporting educational delivery. The successful candidate will be integral in maintaining high teaching standards during the absence of the regular teaching staff.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Supervise Welsh language classes, ensuring that the pre-planned lessons are delivered effectively.
*Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a constructive learning environment.
*Assist in preparing educational materials as required by the teaching staff.
*Monitor and report on the progress of students during class sessions.
*Provide feedback to teachers on students’ performance and any significant incidents.
*Ensure classroom resources are used appropriately and left in order after classes.
*Support students with their learning, answering questions and providing assistance as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Fluency in Welsh is essential.
*Experience in a supervisory or teaching assistant role within an educational setting is preferred.
*Strong organisational and communication skills.
*Ability to manage classrooms and maintain discipline without direct supervision.
*Proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
*Commitment to supporting students’ educational development.
