SEN Primary Teacher - Sheffield
Are you a passionate and experienced SEN Primary Teacher looking for a rewarding new role in Sheffield?
Academics are working with a number of inclusive and supportive SEN schools across the area, seeking dedicated teachers to deliver engaging lessons that support children with a range of additional needs.
Position: SEN Primary Teacher
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing positions
Pay: £140 - £220 per day (paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees)
Start Date: ASAP or from a start date that suits you
About the Role
As an SEN Primary Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, differentiated education to pupils with additional needs, including autism, ADHD, communication and sensory difficulties, and complex learning needs.
You will plan and deliver creative and accessible lessons that support both academic progress and emotional development, helping every child to achieve their potential.
This is an excellent opportunity for teachers who are passionate about inclusion and are looking for a flexible, ongoing position in a warm and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of pupils with SEN.
* Adapt teaching strategies to ensure learning is inclusive and accessible.
* Support pupils’ social and emotional wellbeing alongside academic progress.
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and SENCOs.
* Maintain accurate assessment records and contribute to EHCP reviews.
* Create a safe, nurturing, and positive classroom environment.
Candidate Requirements
? Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
? Previous experience working with children with special educational needs (essential).
? A calm, patient, and resilient approach to supporting pupils with complex needs.
? Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
? Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).
