Responsibilities of this role:
*Manage and supervise a team of social workers and support staff within the Kinship Care service.
*Oversee assessments of connected persons and ensure compliance with Fostering Regulations and Children Act 1989.
*Ensure timely completion of viability assessments, Special Guardianship Orders (SGOs), and fostering approvals.
*Provide leadership and guidance to staff, promoting best practice and continuous improvement.
*Monitor performance, caseloads, and quality assurance processes to meet statutory timescales.
*Work collaboratively with fostering services, child protection teams, and legal services to achieve permanency for children.
*Contribute to service development, policy implementation, and strategic planning for kinship care.
*Ensure safeguarding principles are embedded in all aspects of practice.
Requirements of this role:
*Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
*Must have minimum of 3 year’s experience working as a Qualified social worker
