Permanent Secondary History Teacher – Southampton
Location: Southampton, Hampshire
Contract Type: Permanent
Start Date: ASAP or January 2026
Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)
Are you passionate about inspiring young minds through the power of history? We are seeking a dedicated Secondary History Teacher to join a thriving department in a Good or Outstanding-rated school in Southampton.
The Role:
*Deliver engaging and challenging History lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential).
*Plan and implement creative schemes of work that foster curiosity and critical thinking.
*Contribute to the wider school community and extracurricular activities.
Requirements:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
*Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
*Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
