Job Description:
Are you a proactive and detail-driven Quality Technician looking for your next challenge? We’re looking for an enthusiastic individual to support our growing Plymouth site, helping us maintain and continually improve our ISO 9001-certified quality management system.
As our Quality Technician, you’ll play a key part in ensuring that every component, assembly, and finished product meets our exacting standards. Working closely with the QHSE Manager, you’ll lead day-to-day quality control activities, support audits, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
You’ll be hands-on in the factory, working with colleagues at all levels to solve problems, drive root cause investigations, and uphold a culture of quality and compliance. This is a varied role offering great exposure across manufacturing, quality assurance, and compliance — perfect for someone who enjoys both technical work and teamwork.
As Quality Technician, duties & responsibilities: *Conduct quality control checks on incoming materials, manufactured assemblies, and finished goods
*Support product rework activities and manage calibration systems (in-house and external)
*Analyse shopfloor data to identify trends, investigate issues, and drive corrective actions
*Participate in internal and external audits, supplier evaluations, and customer complaint investigations
*Maintain and review local work instructions to ensure ongoing suitability
*Support change control and new product introduction projects
*Deputise for the QHSE Manager when required
I’m keen to speak to candidates with the following: *Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar manufacturing quality role
*Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems (experience in regulated industries advantageous)
*Strong communication and collaboration skills – credible and confident on the shopfloor
*A methodical problem-solver with excellent attention to detail and report-writing ability
*Computer literate, organised, and self-motivated
*Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
*Working towards or holding a recognised quality qualification (e.g. CQI) is desirable
