Job Description:
Are you an experienced accountant looking for a role where your skills make a real difference?
Reed Reading is working with a well-established charitable organisation in Berkshire seeking a Finance Manager/Accountant to join their team for 30 hours per week.
You will take ownership of day-to-day financial management and reporting within a varied role that works across all aspects of charity finance, from daily transactions to strategic planning, supporting the CEO and trustees with accurate, timely financial information.
What you’ll do
*Maintain accurate financial records using Quickbooks (or similar).
*Prepare monthly management accounts, cashflow and capex forecasts.
*Administer VAT returns and liaise with external advisors.
*Oversee departmental budgets and forecasting.
*Prepare year-end accounts and support the audit process.
*Manage payroll and pensions (outsourced payroll).
*Ensure compliance with charity and statutory financial regulations.
*Drive improvements in financial systems and processes.
This role would be best suited to someone with strong Management Accounting and reporting skills alongside excellent Excel knowledge and a high level of attention to detail.
The position offers hybrid working with at least 50% of hours based onsite, with flexible working hours too. Due to the location of the office you will need to be a driver, however there is ample onsite parking.
