Job Description:
Food Safety Compliance Manager
*Location: Site-based role
*Job Type: Full-time
*Working Hours: Monday - Friday, predominantly 08:30 - 17:00
*Salary: Competitive (details to be discussed)
Day-to-day of the role:
*Own and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) and HACCP food safety plan for high care dry ambient processing areas.
*Manage site allergen and microbiological management, including line swabbing, product testing, and cleaning validation.
*Lead investigations into non-conforming results, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
*Maintain the ingredient intake schedule based on risk assessment and manage positive release analysis and testing.
*Collaborate with New Product Development (NPD) and Purchasing departments to ensure compliance with all standards and customer codes of practice.
*Conduct internal audits against QMS and customer codes of practice as part of the internal auditor team.
*Manage supplier and ingredient approval processes, including risk assessments and ensuring compliance with technical requirements.
*Ensure accurate supply chain mapping and support traceability audits to maintain ingredient traceability.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in generating QMS processes in a food manufacturing environment.
*Strong technical knowledge of supplier and ingredient assurance and VACCP risk assessment.
*Qualifications: HACCP level 4, Food Safety Level 4, and Lead Auditor certification.
*Experience with Allergens and micro compliance in food production.
*Excellent communication skills and a proven track record in supplier assurance.
*Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
*Ability to work effectively in a busy environment and maintain detailed records and compliance reports.
