Quality Manager
*Job Type: Full-time
*Location: Site-based
*Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 17:00
Day-to-day of the role:
*Own and maintain all aspects of the Quality Management System (QMS) and HACCP food safety plan.
*Conduct cleaning validations, ATP & micro swabbing, line release, inspection audits, product analysis, and positive release.
*Manage non-compliance issues by collaborating with factory teams, controlling non-conforming items, and ensuring resolution.
*Lead the internal audit programme, update audit templates, complete the annual audit schedule, monitor compliance, and report as a KPI.
*Manage customer complaints including investigation, correspondence, trending, and proactive reduction projects.
*Implement inspection and verification audits based on risk assessments, covering aspects like weight, hygiene, traceability, and foreign body detection.
*Manage supplier and packaging approval processes, including risk assessments and ongoing supplier assurance.
*Maintain compliance with ingredient traceability, pesticide, contaminants, and microbiological analysis.
*Create and complete the annual analysis schedule based on risk assessment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in generating QMS processes in a food manufacturing environment.
*Strong knowledge of BRCGS, retailer codes of practice, and third-party audits.
*HACCP level 4 and Food Safety Level 4 qualifications.
*Lead Auditor certification.
*Experience in supplier assurance and risk assessment.
*Proficiency in maintaining detailed records and generating compliance and KPI reports.
*Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
*Ability to work effectively in a busy environment and adapt to varying work hours.
