Job Description:
Are you a diligent and detail-oriented Credit Controller looking for a new position in the Wakefield area? If so, we may have the perfect opportunity for you!
As sole Credit Controller you will be responsible for managing outstanding accounts, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining positive client relationships. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career whilst supporting the organisation’s cash flow and financial stability.
Your duties will include:
• Being responsible and accountable for all debt on the sales ledgers
• Maintaining low debt levels, assisting with cash flow
• Ensuring all debts are monitored and the accounts and ERP systems are constantly reconciled
• Working in multiple currencies across numerous European entities and chasing debt in different languages
• Sending out invoices daily, and statements on a weekly/monthly basis
• Processing orders, refunds, investigating and resolving issues
• Liaising with departments internally in relation to overdue payments and query resolution
• Some internal reporting to the Finance Manager
• Maintaining and auditing internal procedures; identifying improvement opportunities and implementing innovative solutions for efficiency
• Ad hoc duties as and when required, to cover sickness and holidays
The successful candidate will:
• Have previous experience in a fast-moving credit control role
• Ideally, will have worked with foreign currencies
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Be confident in communicating with stakeholders, both internal and external, from entry-level to directors.
• Have experience in using an accounts package in their daily duties. Sage 200 experience would be an advantage.
• Be committed to delivering exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders
• Have a good understanding of Excel, including formulae
• Have the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively, as well as work within a team.
