Job Description:
Halliday Marx have partnered with an outstanding sustainability business with a strong European presence. They need a Financial Accountant on a temp-perm basis who is very confident with several European GAAP’s (Listed below)
Hybrid working (2 days in the office, 3 from home)
£275 - £300 per day umbrella as a temp. Once perm, £50k-55k
Temp period is likely 1-2 months
Responsibilities
*Prepare and review financial statements and management accounts under Dutch, Italian, German, and Japanese GAAP.
*Support consolidation and group reporting in accordance with IFRS and local statutory requirements.
*Liaise with external auditors and local advisors to ensure timely and compliant filings.
*Assist in tax reporting, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
*Implement and maintain accounting controls and best practices across international entities.
*Contribute to process improvements, automation, and efficiency initiatives in the finance function.
*Collaborate with sustainability project teams to align financial reporting with ESG performance metrics.
Requirements
*Experience with Dutch, Italian, German GAAP (Essential)
*Available to start within 2 weeks (Essential)
*Japanese GAAP (Nice to have)
*Proficiency in a European language (Nice to have)
