Job Description:
REED Accountancy Practice are actively working with an established firm based in Bournemouth recruiting an Accounts Senior responsible for preparing financial statements, managing client relationships, and supporting junior team members within the practice. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while contributing to the overall success of the firm.
Accounts Assistant (Practice)
Part time / Full Time
Salary up £40,00 per annum
Bournemouth
Key Responsibilities
* Accounts Preparation:
*Prepare year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies in compliance with UK GAAP and relevant standards.
*Complete management accounts and VAT returns for clients.
* Client Management:
*Act as the main point of contact for a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services.
*Provide advice on accounting and tax matters, liaising with HMRC when necessary.
* Compliance & Reporting:
*Ensure all statutory deadlines are met for accounts and tax filings.
*Maintain accurate working papers and documentation for audit and review purposes.
* Team Support:
*Review work prepared by junior staff, providing feedback and guidance.
*Assist in training and mentoring team members.
* Software & Systems:
*Use accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and Excel for accounts preparation.
*Stay updated on digital accounting trends and Making Tax Digital requirements.
Skills & Qualifications
*ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified (or equivalent experience).
*Minimum 3 years’ experience in an accountancy practice.
*Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax regulations.
*Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
*Proficient in cloud-based accounting software and Microsoft Office.
