Junior Accountant – Accountancy Practice (Near Woking)
Are you an ambitious Junior Accountant looking to take the next step in your career? Our client, a friendly and well-established accountancy practice based near Woking, is looking for a motivated individual to join their small but busy team.
This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive environment where you’ll gain hands-on experience, develop your skills, and work closely with a range of owner-managed businesses across various industries.
The Role:
You’ll be responsible for preparing year-end accounts, assisting with management accounts, and supporting the senior team with client work. This is a varied position where you’ll be encouraged to build client relationships and develop a strong understanding of their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
* Assisting with management accounts and bookkeeping tasks
* Supporting with VAT returns and basic tax computations
* Liaising with clients and providing day-to-day assistance
* Working closely with senior accountants to ensure deadlines are met
Requirements About You:
* 2–3 years’ experience within an accountancy practice is essential
* Confident in preparing accounts independently
* AAT qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA (or equivalent)
* Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
* Keen to learn and progress in a supportive team environment
