Job Description:
Responsibilities * Develop and deliver personalized learning plans based on the student’s interests, abilities, and goals.
* Use multi-sensory and adaptive teaching methods to support engagement and understanding.
* Collaborate with parents, carers, and other professionals (e.g., therapists, SEN coordinators) to ensure consistency and holistic support.
* Monitor progress, provide regular feedback, and adjust strategies as needed.
* Create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment where the student feels valued and understood.
Essential Skills & Experience * Experience supporting children or young people with complex or additional needs (e.g., autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, sensory impairments, medical needs).
* Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and individualised education plans (IEPs).
* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach with families and professionals.
* Patience, flexibility, and a genuine commitment to helping each learner reach their potential.
Desirable Qualifications * Teaching or tutoring qualification (QTS, SENCo, or equivalent).
* Training or certification in special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), speech and language strategies, or positive behaviour support.
* Experience with assistive technology or alternative communication methods (AAC, PECS, etc.).
