Caretaker Vacancy – Primary School in Leyton (One-Form Entry)
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker to join our warm and friendly one-form entry primary school in Leyton. This is a key role in helping us maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our pupils, staff, and community.
Position: School Caretaker
Location: Leyton, London
Contract: Full-time, year-round (with some flexibility for holiday work)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Key Responsibilities:
*Maintain the security, cleanliness, and general upkeep of the school site and grounds
*Carry out minor repairs and practical maintenance tasks
*Oversee deliveries and manage stock of cleaning and maintenance supplies
*Ensure health & safety standards are consistently followed
*Support the smooth daily operation of the school, including opening and closing the site

*Is hardworking, organised, and takes pride in their work
*Has practical maintenance/DIY skills
*Can work independently and as part of a team
*Is proactive in identifying issues and solving problems
*Demonstrates a commitment to safeguarding children
