Reed Accountancy are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our client’s team in a newly created role due to their expansion. This role is ideal for someone with a good understanding of key finance areas, who is not afraid to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in and will thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Our client are looking for the right candidate to join them as soon as possible, so being available at under 2 weeks’ notice would be highly advantageous. This role is based full time in the office and being a driver with vehicle access is essential, due to limited public transport links.
Key Responsibilities
*Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and in a timely manner.
*Reconciliations: Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations and ensure all discrepancies are resolved promptly.
*Financial Support: Assist with monitoring accounts, tracking outstanding balances, and liaising with internal teams to ensure timely payments and processing.
*Reporting: Prepare financial reports, statements, and summaries for management review.
*Compliance: Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
*Administrative Support: Maintain accurate records, filing systems, and assist with audits when required.
Skills & Experience Required
*Previous experience in an accounts or finance role.
*Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Strong communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
