Solution Architect / Senior Solution Architect
To own the technical application domain and roadmap, proposing architectural solutions to business problems and new initiatives. This includes defining and governing designs, standards, and guidelines to ensure successful delivery of scalable, secure, and compliant technical solutions.
The role will work closely with the Architecture team members, IT Leadership, Programme Management and Service Delivery to facilitate appropriate technical decision making and alignment between business change, IT architecture and technical solutions to meet business objectives
Strong experience of digital platform and technologies is required.
Responsibilities:
* Develop an integrated view of the IT architecture, using a repeatable approach, cohesive framework, and available industry standard techniques and reference molels
* Manage repository of architecture artefacts, ensuring key documents are kept current as a knowledge based for decision making and technology roadmaps
* To produce pragmatic, well considered and estimated solutions which meet the end user requirements within agreed timescales and adhering to defined principles, standards, procedures and industry best practice
* To be involved in the review and evaluation of analysis, development and testing artefacts to ensure that the outcome is consistent with business needs
* To work with other IT and business users in the definition and implementation of changes to operational procedures and business process standards as and when required
* To present solutions through clear and concise written proposals, presentations or facilitated sessions helping to explain complex concepts and problems
* To provide knowledgeable, accessible and professional quality consultancy both within IT and to business domain users, third parties and the board.
Key experience:
*Extensive application architect experience, particularly with Microsoft technologies (MSMQ, NET Platform, COM +, SQL Server Database Services, Azure Services)
*Proficient in API-centric architecture, microservices, and data integration techniques.
*Solid experience of architecture frameworks, reference models, and management of the architecture repository
*Solid experience in management of the Technical Architecture (supporting continuous improvements and roadmaps)
*Solid understanding of Architecture Governance frameworks and artefact management and life-cycle
*Solid understanding of Data Architectures, and governance throughout the Data Life Cycle
